When the giants got sacks..

that one is shared by Clausen the Tackle can't let the DE blow by and then have the QB just run right into the guy.

That sack wasn't Gross' fault at all, just pointing out that not all the sacks came from the right side.

all comes down to poor QB play/decision making aiding the DL and hurting the OL. Clausen always makes pass rushing look better and OL play worse than it should be.......Gross was pushing JJP where he should of been....Clausen doesn't respond to pressure properly.
Exactly... it seemed as if Gross was doing what he was meant to do by riding him around the pocket... its just that Jimmy took off to the right and JPP was lead right into that sack

often good T play is allowing and then push the DE by.....and he blows right by the play.

problem w/ Clausen is he can't handle in bodies being around him....he bails out early and then the work the T did was wasted and the DE is now in position to make a play.

and that is another reason people aren't agreeing when people start pimping the talk about Clausen having this great night. Cam was every bit as good as Clausen. They have different flaws......Cam's seem to be better flaws for this offense.

Cam's mistakes most likely will be throws downfield.

Clausen's mistake are in the pocket and with short throws.

I remember last year when folks said he wasn't that great and we needed to replace him, he got elected to the probowl. And no it wasn't popularity because what do the fans know about offensive linemen. He is rated that by other players and sportwriters. I wonder what the supposed experts on here know that everyone else doesn't??

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
