LOL at anyone who thinks Beason and Davis would cure our ails. And don't even try and use Edwards as a reason, he was average even before he got injured.

Beason and Davis wouldn't give us a great D......we would be better than we are though. We aren't getting abused by the run b/c of just rookie DTs. LB play is probably the biggest reason for it.

I was thinking 6 wins was the minimum before the injuries, with the potential to get to 8 with some good breaks. Call me a homer, but I still think we can get 5.

I was saying, IIRC, 5-6 would be a really good year. When I saw us compete with the Packers, I thought it was possible. That said, 2-3 wins was kinda what I was expecting.

Not too upset about what we are (terrible team) because we are rebuilding.

EDIT: Compared to what they are, not compared to last year. I can't imagine a worse offense than last year.

The rise of Cam and the fall of our LB core have pretty much balanced each other out for what its worth

It's the way we are playing. Do we not have depth? Those players should not automatically mean we should win 4 or less, I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. We went 8-8 with Fox and basically a whole second string team. I agree that Cam is being asked way too much and whether that will be healthy for him and help him is yet to be seen but so far it's looking ok.

I just have a hard time believing that our team is so horrible we can all sit here and justify a 2 game winning season so far from some BS like new coaching, lockout ETC. How can some teams do it and we can't? In fact there are a lot of teams who have done it. 2 wins come on people we are not that bad and it is not okay.

We are surrendering 29 points a game-31st in the league. What else do you need to know. How many games do you expect to win when your defense is so awful you can't stop anyone.

Now, if before the season started, I told you the defense was going to lose Beason, Davis, and Edwards all for the year in the first 2 weeks....how many wins would you have predicted a rookie QB, rookie HC would have guide Carolina to?

If your answer to the 2nd question is more than 4....you are crazy. Sky is not falling. Cam is coming along ahead of schedule. It is comical what he is asked to do......and every week he surprisingly comes close to doing it.

There is now excuse for a defense to be SO bad, even when some of the starters are out.... doesn't seem to slow down the marquee teams....

Unfortunatley, I don't expect us to win anymore and all I can say is the defense needs an overhaul as far as depth especially if 2 guys down means 2 wins.

I bet good money that we would win less that 4.5 games this season. My pre-season prediction was 3-13, I felt confident we would beat the Jags, and went to the game, but beyond that, the Colts I think we can beat. The Skins game was a shock to me.

2-3. I expected to have a chance to win a few games against teams that are either 1.) Resting starters 2.) Have an injured starting QB 3.) Are starting a rookie QB, 4.) Have been devistated by multiple injuries to key players.

It's silly for anyone to place blame on Cam for how poorly our team has played this season. Any team that starts a rookie QB, and has season ending injuries to starters at DT, WR, MLB, WLB, and RT is going to have a bad season. Our only chance would have been to trade away our future to fill holes this season. Even then, Cam is a rookie QB, and NFL defenses are constantly morphing and adjusting to stop what opposing QBs do best.

How many points have we given up in the fourth quarter this year? (95) How many points have we scored?(53) The offense is not great in the fourth quarter for sure but the defense gives it little chance to win. We have gone into the third quarter either ahead or still in almost any game. But the defense collapses weekly and we struggle to catch up or more accurately score on demand. If we only gave up as many as we scored, we would have won several games given that in many we were up going into the fourth quarter.

Dont even respond to pantherclaw. He is the all powerful all knowing white wizard. Its hilarious to me that he makes the comment of "in the 4th quarter the qb has to prove his worth". The defense gives up over 30 points in the 2nd half and he wants our rookie qb to prove his worth....the wizard strikes again.

I said 4-6 wins, and everyone was bagging on me for being a downer. I laughed at the people saying 10+ wins, but who's laughing now? Actually, nobody, but I was right.

Continuity, can allow for you to experiment or expose a flaw, when you got people that know how to work around the problem.
