  1. 1. Have we found our kicker and punter for the foreseeable future?

    • Both Nortman and Gano will have long, successful careers in Carolina.

Last year the Panthers struggled both punting and kicking. It cost us games. However, from the eye test this summer both Nortman and Gano have had great pre-seasons thus far. Nortman seems to be booming punts and Gano has been perfect thus far while hitting from deep range numerous times.

Figured I would open up this poll to Panther Nation and see what the rest of you think. Also thought it would be nice to highlight the improvements both of these guys have made. It may be too early to answer these polls questions but figured it was worth a shot anyways. I am really hoping we have found our two kicking special-teamers of the future.

Nortman has one of the strongest legs in punters. His problem was holding on to the ball way too long. When he was forced to switch his style for the nfl he struggled and didn't kick very powerful kicks. Somewhere in the offseason it seems he's figured it out.

Gano also has one of the strongest legs of any kicker, but dealt with accuracy issues because he would try to send every kick to the moon, even the short ones. He too seems to have worked on his style and seems to have worked things out.

they are both an integral part of a special teams unit that has improved dramatically since the 2011 season. we've improved in all aspects of the blocking game, we've added a legit return guy that's a threat to add points on every play, we're kicking field goals consistently, and nortman - arguably the worst member of STs last season performance-wise - has looked perfect so far.

if nortman keeps progressing i think he's definitely the punter of the future. we'll have to see about gano but i think at the very least he's locked down the kicking job this season.

Once I find a way to generate the 1.21 gigawatts required to power the flux capacitor, I will be able to give you a definitive answer.

You just need a lightning bolt, some trash or some plutonium. Should not be too hard to find these days.

As for the original question, I am very confident both will be around for a while, which makes me happy.

If Either one slips up bring in kickalicious!

You know, I really thought about that. He'll be gone by the time we realize we don't have the kickers of our future. Too many flashbacks of Nortman muffs and especially Gano misses throughout the years (seriously, one of the worst percentages in the league).

Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
    • You play the Saints that is great news for your O line.
