I'm not surprised.  Captain is awesome playing the nickle, abysmal when starting  out wide.  He's one of the only cases where I agree with Rivera on a talent evaluation.  One of the best nickles in the game.

Most Captain haters think he's a quality player. He's just forced to play a position (outside CB) he shouldn't based upon the lack of talent. He would be outstanding as a pure nickel.

 

Same with Smitty. He should have been moved to the slot 2 years ago. He's quality as a WR1, but he would be unstoppable in the slot (assuming we had somebody who could play on the outside).
