During what part of the win streak did you start feeling like "We can do anything". ?

never really a single moment... more the collective tenacity, raw performance, and ability to finish games seen in the three-game streak of SF, NE, and MIA. each one of those wins was completely unique. we faced different challenges, were forced to adapt to different things, and saw different parts of the team struggle while the other parts of the team excelled to make up for it. and we won all three.

beat new orleans next week and i'm convinced we can win the superbowl.

There are so many good games to choose from, but I have to go with the popular pick here in the Patriots, but for different reasons than most:

  1. Patriots game came on the heels of a West Coast trip to one of the most intimidating venues in the NFL:  Candlestick Park.
  2. 49ers were coming off of a bye week.
  3. The offense put up only 10 points.  How on God's green earth is that enough to win in the NFL?
  4. We flew back across the country.
  5. Primetime against the Patriots on MNF is huge in terms of psyche.
  6. Patriots were coming off of a bye week and had more than two weeks off to prepare.
  7. The offense rebounded from a 10 point performance to score 24, including a game-sealing, clutch drive by Cam Newton and one hell of a touchdown catch/run by Ted "sandbagger" [what a joke of a thread] Ginn, Jr.
  8. We then had to go on the road again on a short, albeit by only a day, week to play another team that had legitimate playoff aspirations.

So, that is a Patriots game bookended by a 10 point west-coast win and a hungry Dolphins team in Florida.  Through all the hoopla, including MNF, the team stayed semi-focused, but remained hungry and determined.  We grabbed ourselves by our collective face masks and jockstraps, and said, "fug the doubters, the naysayers, the media hacks.  We believe in us.  We believe in our [3rd year] head coach.  And we believe in our fans.  Now let's bring the boom!  Keep.  Pounding."

And that, Huddlers, is why I believe the Patriots' game was the "I Believe" game for me.

I havent got there yet. I keep readin & hearin articles & interviews where the attitude with the team is 'the next game is our biggest'. I am lookin at it almost the same, being very humble when friends speak to me about how good my team is doing. A few weeks ago I said, as we all did, that SF & NE would be the real judge of how good this team is. Now Im lookin at the 2 NO games the same way. Lets see how we fare against a division rival that is top 2 of the NFC...

Before the season started, all I wanted was to watch the Panthers play in January. Now that we're this close, I am more wantin February...

I started feeling calm during the Rams game. To see our players so hyped up, their knowing they won the mental side of the game and that would be what they needed every single week. Just as much as practice and film study. A two game winning streak! Wooooooooo!

My son was freaking out a little during the SF game. I just kept telling him, "We got this."

My calm was tweaked a little for the NE game. Calmly knew we would win but felt something big was going to happen. Still don't know if that "big" was how the game ended or CJ's knee, or both.

Not worried about the Saints. We'll have that dome quiet before the end. Hardly a peep in the 4th quarter.

The San Fran and NE games proved this team can hang with anyone. Thats the only acceptable response to this thread. Saying anything other than that(like 'never, i never feel comfortable) just proves you are a s****y fan with no faith and can kindly GTFO.

The streak could go all the way to a SB victory, or it could end this week or anywhere in between.     At this point,  I don't care,  I just know that I can sit back now and feel comfortable in knowing and truly believing that we can do anything.

Knowing that if a team does beat us,  that other team is going to have to fight tooth and nail and at the end of the game,  the physical punishment they endure...  will make em wish they never took the field in the first place.

Win or lose next week.. we will give it our all,  powered by heart,  pride and a lot of "F U" attitude.   I can live with that,  no matter the final score.   I fully believe we win, btw.
