Don't know if anyone ever saw that ESPN Sport Science bit on Brees and his accuracy.  The guy is amazing throwing the football.   I knew we were in big trouble when he pulled out a ham sandwich had a bite or two and then threw a strike to whomever he wanted.

 

You can't give any QB that much time.   Brees will tear you apart, which is pretty much what he did.

 

 

I never got to the Sport Science episode. We couldn't generate pressure at all. When I seen that, I knew it was going to be a long night for our defense.

It has been a couple of years but an amazing video.  10 for 10 about 20 yds away.  Hit the bulleye every time.  Release was identical, speed was identical.  Very very accurate passer.

 

He would have been a great pick up when he came out of Purdue.

I knew there would be a late season let down. It happens to every team. Saints had theirs last week.

Watching Brees from the field in that dome, I just don't see how any defense can stop him. It would take a high powered offense to keep up, and sadly the Panthers are hindered by a pedestrian o-line.

Brees hits receivers in stride who are often less open than the Panthers receivers were all night. He just has the timing down on that turf. Cam will get there eventually.

Now, that said, we can definitely win out to 12-4. The Saints are not the same team on the road and the Jets and Falcons are lesser teams.

Let's get this playoff train a runnin.

Brees and co suck on the road, plus look at 49ers and Seahawks history this season. Seattle embarassed the 49ers first time they played this year, and the 49ers (who I feel are and inferior team to the Seahawks regardless of where they play) won the second go round.

I knew this was going to be a tough game to win or lose but didn't expect it to be like this.  I also did not expect the Panthers to continue the stretch undefeated either.  I am glad to get this out of the way and this should refocus the team and correct this.  It's the 24 hours of mourning after the game and then move on.

This was arguably the hardest game on our schedule, and we dropped it. We're still 9-4 with 3 winnable games left as Zod said. I like where we're at personally, especially if this was a bit of a wake up game for the team to refocus them for the playoff push.

 

It would've been difficult to rattle off around 16 straight for the Super Bowl anyway.

It's not a positive we lost, but I will say I am glad we got our reality check before the playoffs. It isn't what we wanted, but we can learn from it. Correct what we can this year, & then upgrade where needed with some "GettleMagic" in the off-season.

Goodness..thats amazing! I remember when San Diego was letting him go, I was hoping we got him back then. I think the knock on him then was a shoulder injury I believe but he is doing his thing.

The only way you beat Brees is to out work him our secondary was biting on Brees all day and not playing the WR. Its why keek was getting beat up as well.

The crazy thing is this can all go south real quick. The Jets are a lesser team but their defense is legit and can win them some games. Then the Saints damn sure isn't a gimme and then we go to Atlanta who would love to ruin our season.

There will be a 10-6 and possibly 11-5 team that won't make the playoffs this year. I hope we aren't it
