10 Things Richard Sherman learned after America learned about him

I like players like Sherman, and hope he doesn't change. I look forward to the Manning/Sherman, Sherman/Thomas matchup Sunday.

"10. If I could turn back the clock … Maybe I deserved a fine under today’s rules, but back when football was raw and unsanitized, the same things they fined guys for now were the aspects of the game that people loved. The NFL once allowed players to live in the moment and be entertainers. I may have been wrong in my gestures, but if I had to do it all again, I’d probably do some of the same things. It was a big moment, and it was how I felt at the time."

I really don't get the objection to what Sherman said? It's not like he went off on some profanity-laced tirade... the guy got a mic shoved in his face moments after making the biggest play of his career against a hated rival and he was honest. You could argue it wasn't classy or good sportsmanship but people are acting like he ate a baby on live television.

I hate how America has become. Someone speaks their opinion and when it isn't well received an apology is forced to be issued by their handlers. Richard Sherman was right to do what he did. These guys hit each other for three hours and then they're all expected to answer questions like Manning does and be bff's. Well not everyone is built like that. Can you imagine if Tupac released Hit Em Up if he was alive today?!? iTunes would take it down and he'd have to issue an apology out on twitter within a day to say sorry for hurting everyone's feelings at bad boy. What a joke. We all know how shitty of an organization SF is. I would have given Kap the choke sign, went off on Crabtree, went off on Harbaugh and the piece of poo that clocked someone on the sidelines during that punt. fug em all I say, this county has been watered down by pussies.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
