"Scootch over, first round WRs"---Allen Robinson needs room

Nothing against Robinson, but it seems that the average Huddler thinks that all 32 picks of the 1st round will be wide receivers..

At least the guy who wrote the article thinks Robinson might be one of them.

Robinson has always been one of my fav prospects. His 4.6 combine 40 isn't what you see when you watch his film.

To me, he's what so many of you like in Latimer but more explosive after the catch with the ability to make people miss.

He'll still be 20 at the time training camp rolls around. So much potential imo.

I think Philly takes him in the 1st.

Outside of Watkins and Evans, all of the WRs scare me a little. But, nice to see guys like Robinson improving their stock and maybe causing OTs or fellow WRs to drop in the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round. I would love to go with 2 WRs in the first 3 rounds.

I think better value will be there at WR at pick #28 than at OT.

But, then again, maybe Llewan or Martin slip?  If so, you've gotta take the big dawg.

Or maybe one of the top CB's (Dennard or Fuller) or S (Pryor) slip?

Or, as I posted in another post about a weak ago, maybe none of them fit Gettleman's sense of "value" and Kony Ealy is sitting there.

I think there WILL be a good player sitting there for the Panthers to select and there's a good chance that it won't be either a WR or an OT.

(P.S. With regard to the OP, I like Allen Robinson a lot too and picking him would definitely not hurt my feelings.)

I do not understand this comment.  What led you to such a dramatic and inaccurate assumption about what Huddler's think? This article states that Robinson is now probably going to enter the first round discussion with about 8 others.  Huddlers were not referenced in the article.

    • At the moment? Absolutely not. Maybe if they drop the next three in a row and go into the deadline at 3-6 I can see an argument to be made to move Rico as he's on a 1yr deal. I'd rather keep Chuba's contract though and roll with ETN + JB next season. The team will have plenty of time to see how JB is looking going into the offseason a year-plus after his surgery to know whether or not they need to plan for another direction.
    • I forgot to mention my thoughts on the rushing grade! 😮 He ran his ass off both weeks. I can't remember the stat offhand but didn't he have something crazy like 120+ yards after contact vs. Dallas? Against Miami he had lanes as wide as the entirety of I-95 to run through which is why his rushing grade wasn't as high as this week's. He's ran like a man possessed and going to earn himself some money in the offseason.
    • I'm not sure how much I'm changing mid year, especially when we are seeing some success.    Most Pass Rushers are physically gifted. Scheme and personnel help, but you gotta have the Jimmys and Joes, especially at that position.    We will likely lose games when the other team can throw for 400 yards, and has multiple high level receivers, but I think at this point in the development of our franchise, we have to be ok with that. You can't address every single issue at once. Really looks like we have plugged some holes on offense, and definitely in run defense. In the next draft, if we hit on a CB, an ILB and a Pass rusher, we will be pretty dangerous.
