Trai Turner - Kony Ealy

Interesting to see two physical protoype players next to each other and how inheritied physical traits determine how far you will go in football at a given position. Turner is an amazing physical prospect for a road paving guard.

As an aside, according to my body type I would best be used somewhere between punter and assistant turf administrator.

Someone pls give turner a bigger jersey. The old saying is still true, don't judge a book by its cover. Looking the part helps, but its still only part of the formula. There's a ideal size for everything, example horse jockey. You will not find any 300+lbs jockey in the pros, same for not finding any midgets playing OL. Someones makeup, desire, drive, evironment, and mental iq makes up for not being a certain shape. Zob you could have been a player if given the correct upbrings, plus with modern meds/drugs maybe even played on either line. The knowlege of food has came a long way just in the last few years.

Few years back, a buddy of mine and I were watching a 4pm game after the Panthers game and noticed the difference in linemen between the other teams and what we had.  "Look at that guy?"  my friend said.  "Why don't we have anybody that looks like that?"

I think with Gettleman in charge that's not gonna be an issue anymore.

Agree 100%. We became a very small team under Hurney.

I know you were just joking around, but that's not always true about punters. Pat O' Donnell, the 6th round punter out of Miami chosen by the Bears, got 23 reps on the bench press at the combine.  To put that into perspective, Jadeveon Clowney? 21 reps.  Kony Ealy? 22 reps.  Trai got 25, but still, some of these punters are strong dudes.

From listening to Gross' podcast the kicking team has a ton of time to kill. They could have a lot if gym time if the want.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
