Alexander has earned it.  He was a high talent coming out of college as well.  He showed some emotion last year during a game, and got the suspension in the offseason.  In the huddle, that equals bust or written out of the equation.  Alexander has skills, and will contribute this year.

I hope he do

I hope Norman does too. These are all guys that has talent

Frank has showed A LOT of promise for us in times past, offering always great depth at the DE, so it should be no surprise that he's performing well at camp. That said, it's very pleasant news that with his suspension coming up, he is taking things very seriously and trying to show that it won't define him. I big on him.

Hey gang, today was a walk through. No one really was taking anything seriously. Take anything you read with less than a grain of salt.

Shouldn't that be with "more than a grain of salt"?

Sorry, sometimes my grammar police instincts get the best of me. :)

You have to admit, the Alexander comment and start came as a surprise to most of you (us).  I wanted to hear what yall thought.   Here is my theory on DEs:

They take 2 seasons to groom.  CJ was mediocre in years 1 and 2.  Same with Hardy.  Year 3 was the charm.  I think it is Alexander's time, even though he is entering year 4 (I think).  He was in the dog house last year, so....

About Ealy--give him a chance, but we do not need him this year.  Let him get stronger and learn some moves and how to get violent with his hands.

CJ was below mediocre in his first year. He only got playing time in 3 games. If I remember correctly there was talk of him being overwhelmed at the time and that he should have stayed in school another year.

I watched him in drills during OTAs during his first and second year.  (DL used to work near the fence, so we were right on top of them).  DL Coach Baker was verbally ripping CJ a new one.  CJ looked like he was disinterested--probably embarrassed.

I think Ealy will be fine.  Just needs some time.
