Philly Browns TD

2 fumbles, only 1 lost. He's been a beast at WR in the little time that he got and solid for the most part as a punt returner.

Give up Dizzy.  Some of these fugs are always going to find a way to bi%ch.  It doesn't matter that he's come in as an UDFA and only played 5 professional games.  If you aren't an all-star, some in this fan base are always going to sh^t on everything you do.

Philly has a lot of room for improvement, no doubt there.  We have to fix securing the ball, no doubt there either.  But I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

You people are stupid.

Guy has shown ability on offense and STs.

It's pathetic and honesty kind of laughable that the standard that Panther fans demand from their punt returners is Mark Jones.

"JUST TAKE THE SAFE TWO YARDS SONNY BOY, STOP ACTING RIDICULOUS OUT THERE"

Minus that, he hasn't played well on ST but has NFL quickness IMO.  With some refinement via the School of Proehl, he could be a solid WR3/4 for us down the road.  It's just year one and we don't need his shakiness right now on PRs but I still like what I see for some reason.

Because its been a consistent thing with him since preseason. He's been shaky since then.

And what of Kelvins drops? Do we need to completely replace Kelvin too?

Philly has had bad games but he's a rookie. He can improve and I think he will. He needs to learn when to call for a fair catch. A lot of this is "I've got to prove my worth" mentality he's had sense preseason and he needs to know he has earned his place on the roster.

Kelvin even with his drops is still our best WR.

Punt returning is something that can cost you games and Philly already has contributed to that once this season. Every catch today he was shaky. Even when fair catching it he has trouble with the ball. Did you see him just fall down after fair catching it with no one around? He had a couple mistakes today that were lucky not to cost the team again. Can't rely on luck every game of the season. He's good as a receiver, just terrible as a returner. I don't want it costing us close games.

And who's better on our roster at PRs than Philly? Beneand Cason were dropping punts in Camp, and while Philly was at one point, he improved dramatically.

You don't think the coaches are going to talk to him about learning how to Fair Catch?

Well I know Philly sucks. IDK how Cason would do. I guess an unknown is better than the known in this case. I would like to sign a reliable returner in free agency though.

He seems to be getting worse. Sometimes I question if he is even practicing fielding. He has a bad habit of moving backwards instead of running to punt, can't catch it cleanly, and has no idea when to fair catch. He literally flew backwards from the force of a punt today........backwards

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
