How bad is Chandler that he isn't 1st up when Bell is out?

WOW!!

It shows you what limited resources will get you.

There are not 32 starting caliber LTs in the nfl. When you scrimp, you end up with a bunch of shitty options.

Sorry. Don't accept that premise. A rookie salary isn't that much, and for 2 years, the FO completely ignored the Tackle position in the draft.

Pretty soon the FO won't have salary cap as an excuse anymore. So they better start getting it together.

Both Bell and Chandler are abominations of tackles. Both have to be statistically in the top 5 worst starting tackles in the NFL.

Man you ain't never lied. I don't know what the coaches were thinking trying to convince themselves and the fans that these two were the answer. SMH

Weren't they in a close battle for the starting job in Training camp? ?

Didn't Dave extent him??

Now Foucat is the starting LT in a national televised division game??

Un drafted Canadian is protecting the franchise's blind side?? How scary is this poo??

I think the battle for LT was never close, it was always going to be Bell starting. Chandler was thrown out there to make it look like a competition because of the fan perception of Bell.

I think the Panthers thought Chandler had a shot. But he missed a lot of TC. The Panthers were wrong for thinking he could get the job done though.

Actually, there is a reason--you want at least one tackle to be familiar with his position.  Throw in Norwell, and you would have 3 players new to their spots.  Did not read the entire thread, so if i am repeating someone, I apologize.

That is why I hated moving Wharton out to T when Gross went down.  We were below average at LT and LG.  A huge target for defensive coordinators.
