Are we one of the worst-run teams in the league?

I would argue that the panthers are in the 15-17 range. They are about average, the same as their record has been since their inception. People seem to forget that although they do not have back to back winning seasons they also have had very few horrible seasons. It just so happens that they are in the middle of a bad streak right now (minus the anomaly last year). Hopefully it doesn't last as long as the 49ers streak. Remember up until 3 years ago, it was 10 years without making the playoffs even with the division winner finishing 8-8.

5 winning seasons in 20 years. None back to back. That's 1/4 of our existence. I'm not sure about the worst but somewhere around the bottom 5.

I was looking this up the other day, checking back over the last 20 years.

Panthers - 5

Bengals - 5

Buffalo - 5

Detroit - 4

St. Louis - 4

Arizona - 4

Oakland - 3

HELL no we're not one of the worst-run teams in the league.....we are THE worst run team in the league. ONE EXAMPLE:How many other teams do you EVER remember having picked their quarterback, WITH THE NUMBER 1 OVERALL PICK, and 4 years later still don't know if he's their franchise quarterback. This organization has been a 20 year "who's on first" skit. It's humiliating and embarrassing and I'm fugin sick of it. And the part that pisses me off the most is the fans pay the bills for this dumpster fire. Everyone gets paid and we get the bill, the shaft and the broken heart.

It depends on if you consider what teams have done in the past. The Raiders, Rams, Cowboys and Redskins have all won superbowls and they also are very famous franchises that just haven't won in a while. I believe Al Davis was great in the 70s-2000 but as the game changed he wasn't able to adapt and now the raiders are a joke. Al hasn't been dead long so I would have to give the new owner a few years before I judge him. The Jags and Browns have always been bad. The browns have very loyal fans but Jacksonville probably has one of the worst fan bases in the NFL.

I believe that the Bucs, Browns Raiders and Jags are the worst group of NFL teams. I believe the Panthers are above those organizations, we aren't the worst but we definitely are not near the top, I would say in the middle.

I think we have had one of the worst coached teams this year, as well as probably the most suspect draft and FA pick-ups considering our needs, but I don't think that we're a bottom feeders per se.  Here are the bottom 5 IMO:

Raiders

Skins

Jags

Bills (new owners though)

Jets

We may be in that next tier with the Bears, Vikings and Titans.
