I don't disagree that Kuechly is better at what he does than Cam is at what he does, but that's not the question. QB is infinitely more valuable to a team than an MLB, plus even without Kuechly you already have a stud defensive line, a stud OLB and an up and coming secondary.

But Luke may be the best at his position in the NFL.

I don't know if Cam is a great qb, but he is a solid qb that gives us a good shot to win.  Don't know if he will ever be a superstar, while Luke might already be one.  But generally speaking, qb's are harder to find than middle linebackers, so Cam.
