Per Ian Rapoport. RB P.Thomas released. The Saints will have to take it on the chin for all the free spendIng. Interesting to see if Brees will restructure to help the team. Karma can be a bitch.....how the mighty have fallen.

And before the ass ripping starts for the heading typo, Mod please correct.

PT is or will soon be 30, I think, but man, can't say I'll miss him being a Saint. really great player. I know Saints fans loved him. the screen game is so important to that offense, and they just lost their best weapon with it.

Watch the saints draft gurley or Gordon now

Let 'em. When they start using 1st and 2nd round picks on their O-line and D-line is when I'll start being afraid of the Saints again. We dominate both sides of the line of scrimmage against them.

Rotoworld says he'd do well to get $2 million a year, anybody interested in signing him here? He only accounted for 600 yds of offense last year (222 rush/378 rec) and 3 total TD...and he'll be 31 next season. And because of his small frame he struggled with rib injuries throughout his career.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jahari Evans, Colston, Gallette, and maybe others are cut. To add to their holes already up and down the roster. Not to mention, they'll want to keep Cameron Jordan next offseason which could take a big contract.

Basically, unless the Saints draft perfectly or find some FA steals...the Brees era is about over.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
