Panthers Not Set At Wide Receiver

Why won't we even go after guys like Eddie Royal and Harry Douglas? I understand not breaking the bank on one WR, the problem is in Gettleman's mind, anything more than a 1-2 year contract for virtually get minimum is considered breaking the bank in his mind and your just not going to land a legit no 2 WR with that mentality.

Torrey Smith yes would be pricey but isn't it worth paying a legit no 2 WR 7-8 mill a year who is only 26 years old and could be our no 2 for years to come?

Having signed Ginn, I don't think it would benefit us adding another 7 yr+ vet outside of Cotchery and Ginn that is another #3 or 4.  Royal still has a lot in the tank but I don't know about his fit with Brown and Ginn both being similar receivers.  Like its been said, a physical #1/2 type would be great like Strong.  Maybe even a Smith, Agholor, McBride, or Diggs would be a decent fit.

Harvin pls!

I'm breaking my rules of not wanting locker room cancer, but he would be a game changer........

Only keepers are KB, corey, and ginn. ALL others can fight for the leftovers. I do hope the panthers carry 6 WRs this year. Get with times guys.

Would it surprise anyone if they took a WR in the first again?  Not me, I think it's likely actually.

I don't see Parker, White, or Cooper falling.  Strong would be the obvious choice if available but I don't know if anyone past him matches up value wise compared to what may be available at other positions.

I think there are some teams that will reach for Perriman and Devin Smith though but that wouldn't be DG.

It's why I would prefer Harry Douglas, I always thought he was buried behind Jones and Roddy White and was always solid

I'm starting to think thats why Cam isn't signed long term yet, I truly believe Gman has a legit fear of long term commitment.

i'm starting to think you don't know how football works outside of madden

    • That he gets worse while at the same time getting more exposure is just typical.
    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
