Nicks not ready to call it a life. A good plan B in case Jennings never comes?

If the Panthers were interested in Nicks you would know it by now.

Maybe if the Panthers don't get the WRs they covet in the draft they will reconsider.

Well I bet he'll still be available come June...

100% agree with this. Not sure where the money is right now... but this WR class is deep, big and fast. Ted Ginn is back, Philly Brown is expected to get better. Drafting the right guy in rounds 1-3 at WR could really round out our guys.

The problem with that is... it seems like teams are waiting out guys like Nicks and Crabtree to get them cheaper.

We could see a mad dash for receiver in the first round.

I don't see that being a problem.  Other teams reach, we profit, because better values will fall in our lap.  If there happens to not be a value at WR when we are picking, maybe we give Nicks a call, who knows.  If not, we play without a "true" #2 again.  We should be okay though.  Even if Ginn isn't the "best" option, teams still have to respect his speed, and that still opens up KB and Olsen.  It's not ideal, but it's better than what we had.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
