Kenjon Barner with a 90+ Punt Runt Return TD. * Sigh

Was a damn good return, Philly special teams have been awesome last few years. Agholor also looking legit.

If Barner makes the squad does he count towards out comp pick formula?

No they cut him after we traded him so that's out of the picture now. He went to their PS last year after being unclaimed so he's theirs.

Edit: realized you're talking about comp picks and not the conditional 7th we traded him for... He never would've counted to the comp pick formula since he wasn't a free agent we traded him for a conditional 7th. Since they cut him we can't get that 7th. Doubt he even makes their squad anyways, they have many great returners above him.

Edit2: Actually he didn't even make their PS last year... They released him and signed him to a future/reserve contract after the season. Regardless, still doesn't affect us at all.

There was NO way Shula was ever going to use him right. Chip knows Barner from his college days and knows exactly how to use him. Don't read to much into it.

As for his punt TD, it was a good return, but I'd still rather have Ginn back there.

Oh please, stop ripping on Shula for no reason. Barner is not ever going to make any impact in the NFL at all. Extremely unlikely he even makes the Eagles' 53 man roster. If Chip knew how to use him so well, he wouldn't have cut him last year.

    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
