Keys to Panthers Victory: 

Special Teams Play - This looks like a close match up. The difference in the game could come down to a special teams play. A blocked punt, a missed field goal, a great return. Something along these lines will be the difference. 

Protect Cam - For all that is holy, please keep JJ Watt off of Cam Newton. 

Pressure Mallet - Ryan Mallet is a pick machine waiting to happen if the Panthers can rattle him early. A feeding frenzy could occur. 

 

Prediction: 

Panthers - 13

Texans - 3

I have the honor of being on the field to help wave the American flag today for the national anthem. :) I am so excited I feel like a little kid! This will be one of my best Panther memories!

Prediction: Panthers 24-0

Our defense shows out with a humiliating display on the Texans. To be sure, JJ Watt gets his. But CAP gashes them and gets his first 2 TDs of his career. One passing and one rushing. Olsen gets the 3rd TD and Gano knocks in a short FG after JNo gets another INT in the red zone but we can't get it in.

Panthers win in a dominating performance 24-0.

      While I hated keeping Rhule, I thought if he still kept sucking, it would be an easy path to number 1. Firing him 5 games into the season then winning meaningless games just made it worse. We weren't making a deep run even if we made the wildcard with a losing record. That whole season was pointless, but at least I was optimistic an owner with 1/4 of a brain couldn't muck it up. Ahhh Dave....
