Definitely dont look past this team...

Marcus Mariota is a problem. Fastest QB in the league.... and right now has a QBR of 101.5 & 13 TDs.

Kid is going to be a beast. His completion percentage is 65.5 %. Last game he was at 71.8% . He's still figuring it out... but he's going to be the truth in the coming years.

steverife He lost me when he barrel rolled his truck in a really slow pedestrian area. He's very lucky he didn't kill people.

EnglandTitan66 Don't mind Cam , he gets a bit pouty and sometimes sells his team-mates out when its his fault but I don't despise the guy like I do the Manning's or Rivers. Easily in the Top 10 QB's in my book , very easily.

Strawman He was t boned by a car that ran a stop sign. Check your facts.

steverife A friend of mine saw it. Cam was flying and drove over the fender of the Buick who didn't anticpate that he was going that fast, then rolled.

Lawd.

This is the kind of poo the media who has invented stories about Cam for years are responsible for.

Should be a tough game.  Fact they lost Marcus for a few games makes them appear worse than they are.  Decent team, should be a fight.

Their fans?  Overall seem caught in recycled talk and throwing out standard outdated approaches about you stop Cam Newton.  SEC country so there is a natural built in Cam hatred too.  The outdated recycled junk about stopping Cam is always the funniest part.  "Oh, we will blitz him, we will hit him....he will get rattled and lose the game.  Cam gets frustrated".  Um, no.  Cam actually is at his best pressured.  One of the top QBs in the NFL the past 2 years vs pressure.  That ain't how you stop him, that plays into his strength at this stage of his career.   Cam has won 12 straight w/ people attempting the "fan blueprint".  That ain't a blueprint.  Same applies to the Olsen blueprint.  It ain't that simple.

Tennessee potentially could have a good enough D to cause him some problems.  All depends on what approach they take and if they can actually execute it.

Not a lot of film on Marcus which makes him tough in reality.

I hope our past struggles against 3-4 defenses  is over. I kmow we are the better team and should come away with a win. Team just needs to stay focused and hungry. No let up.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
