What Redskins Fans Are Saying

Makes sense that a team that is 1-11 on the road in the last year and a half is going to roll in and beat a team that is 14-1 in their last 15 Reg Season and Playoff Games.

Gotta love the DC logic.

If we execute, we will beat them.  It is that simple.  They need to play their best game of the year and hope that we by far play our worst game of the year for them to have any real chance.

Addressing the "Skins must win to stay in playoff hunt" point: Giants are on a bye this week and travel to Washington next week. Skins lose this week but win next week and they'll be tied for first in the NFCE at 5-6, and I believe they'd technically be first due to divisional record.

Small point, just thought I'd mention it.

If we are gonna lose an upcoming game I wouldn't mind it being this one. Obviously the Panthers are a much better team than the Skins but a reality check loss before a HUGE prime time showdown with Dallas on Thanksgiving might be just what the team needs. I want the streak to continue but I would almost feel more comfortable going into Dallas as a pissed off 9-1 team looking to rebound big time and prove the one loss was a fluke; instead of a 10-0 team with all eyes on us looking to slip up against Dallas.

That being said:

Panthers - 31

Deadskins - 17

One thing that probably could be a topic on it's own is the Panthers lack of turnovers....I think that has really helped us out this year..

If the WRs don't tip/drop the ball Cam probably only has like 3 or 4 INTS and our RBs and STs haven't been turning the ball over like they have in the past.

This is a huge deal...we had games in years past where Cam would throw a pick but then a RB would fumble and or STs would have a fumble or two...it's hard to win that way and now the Panthers are taking care of the ball better than they have in a long time...RBs/STs/Most of Cams passes are doing well in keeping the ball in our hands.

If we don't turn the ball over we win this game.

This myth that Cam cant complete passes...how is it still a thing?

Also, contain Cam Newton. Good luck...

Well, to be fair, he has completed over 60% of his passes this season only twice.

I'm not bashing Cam, but he is 29th in completion % this season.  What he doesn't have in wide receivers and crazy accuracy, he makes up for with skills that no other QB can attain.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
