Looks like the salary cap is going to jump quite a bit, at least $7 million and up to $10 million more than last year.

Owners were told at this week’s league meeting that the salary cap will be between $150 million and $153.4 million next year, ESPN reports. This year’s cap is $143.3 million.

I hope we get sonething done.  At very least franchise him to give another year of negotiations.

I think the nice large jump in the cap will make it easier for us to make that "franchise" decision which, ultimately (I hope), becomes a long-term contract prior to the 2016 season.

Sort of a non-factor since everyone's cap will rise that much, giving them more money to throw around as well.

exactly.

i'm looking for a tag next year then letting him walk when he is close to 30. gives us time to draft a replacement. it sucks but thats the NFL.

right, but if he is looking for a certain amount this gives us the opportunity to offer it as opposed to asking him to choose us cause it's us.

Franchise 24....get K.K, Star resigned, and start the restructure process. Leave 2017 for 24 and see what they can get done then. Keep finding gems in FA that don't break the bank and go on. Ginn and Coleman will have to be delt  wtth also by 2017. Maybe tie one of them up next year also on a reasonable deal (Coleman should definitly stay).
