He brings a lot more to the table than the 2 million dollar salary he would command might indicate.  As long as he's stays healthy and effective I would keep him around.

I don't like him as a blocking full back to be honest. But his pass catching and rushing is still a valuable commodity on our offense.

I think that we should re-sign (sorry for the title) him to a 2-3 year deal that we can get out of after 2.  Not sure if he was out of shape at the beginning of the year, or banged up, but he looks a little more fleet of foot out there now.

I don't think salary will be the big question mark with Tolbert. It will be roster space,. 

Some of the same people saying re-sign him are probably some of the same people complaining about us leaving certain RBs inactive on game day.

Every hit he asorbs on short yards is one that Cam doesn't. Thats worth something right there, but I really love this guy. 2 years at 5 mil wouldn't even be a pay cut, and he's worth that. He'd probably work cheaper.

It all depends on whether he can keep doing what he's doing and how much we're planning on paying Norman.

I like Tolbert....He's reliable, good teammate, runs hard, blocks decent, catches the ball well but there's 2 major drawbacks.  He's 30 years old which is the Mendoza line for running backs and he runs a 4.7 forty.  

Our front office wants more speed on the field and only signs older players to VERY team friendly deals.  Tolbert may be offered a contract because he's a jack of all trades/solid vet presence but CAP, Wegher, and another RB in the draft will be our future at the position.
