While everyone is busy worrying about how Josh will do without the Panthers

Let's worry about who's going to be our Pro-Bowler / All-Pro / Potential DPOY CB next year because our "system" make players into stars

So if that's the case, make another CB one. I fully expect Boykin to keep QB's from throwing his way next season

Sucks to lose an All-Pro Corner with as much fire as Josh.
Can't cry over spoiled milk now.  The thinking on my end is that we'll draft a DE to help our pass rush, and in the 2nd-4th round pick up a capable DB.  If we do something to that extent I believe we'll be fine.

The only thing keeping me calm is my trust in Gettleman.

News flash: the wheels have not fallen off the bus. This team will be fine without 24. I wasn't a fan of his at any point and said all last year he was a ticking time bomb. Since both of my kids went to CCU I caught hell for not being a homer and loving him just because he was a Panther and went to CCU. Dude had one year and 1/2 of another where he played good. Stay tuned, he got his big paycheck, he will fall off in a big way. It's obvious he chased money and attention. He's unstable as hell. Did you watch any of his interviews? The dude is out of touch in more ways than any of us know.

idk why you're acting like Boykin isn't good. he is gonna be killer in the nickel position.

Yes, but right now he's probably playing outside where he has struggled previously. He's probably going to be the nickel week 1 but right now it should be a concern. McClain did admirably last year considering the situation but he really wasn't very good. Will a rookie be ready out of the gate? Will someone we pickup this late be good enough? Those are very valid questions.

Bene will be outside with either Lou Young or McClain.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
