Your final predictions (#30)

With 25 hours to go before the draft gets underway, let us make our predictions on who we take at 30.

DT  -  Vernon Butler - Louisiana Tech

Butler was visited multiple times by the Panthers during the pre-draft season. Dave Gettleman and the front office like to draft those whom they’ve met with at least once. And keep in mind, we still need a 3-technique DT.

Jumping on Igo's pick OP?  I haven't a clue to be honest, but I will guarantee there will be a 30 page thread bitching about it.

Ahh so that's what the All-Pro Vernon Butler thread is about.  Btw, which mod should I message that I'm unable to get all-pro?  The payment section doesn't load when I try to sign up.

You'll have to ask someone else about the technical poo around here.  I had to beg him to take my money to be All-Pro a few months ago because I had trouble signing up myself.   Think he's filtering out the riff raff or something.

Gettleman shocks us by going offense. Hunter Henry in Round one and trades up until the second for Sterling Shepard. There's a reason we met with more WR than any other group. With a more potent and versatile offense, and more weapons for Cam with Benjamin back, we take more pressure off our defense.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
