Rookie Camp - Need your input

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

Rookie camp is coming up next week. I will be attending, observing, taking video and photos.

However, practices take place on two fields and I can't be everywhere at once.

It would be helpful if you listed which Panthers rookies you were most interested in order of interest.

There are none that I am not interested in.  Sanchez heading toward a role as a nickel might not be the biggest interest to me, but certainly our big guy Butler, the 2 intriguing DB's and certainly the Miami to Montana TE.  Then of course, most will want to know about the UDFA group.  Drafted players first for me sans Sanchez

also would appreciate minute to minute updates on who is a surefire bust/future all-pro

The most difficult to say anything about will be butler. Watching offensive and defensive line players in drills where no contact is allowed isn't exactly productive.

Kind of what I was thinking, goes for the RB too. I'd say Bradberry, Worley, Sandland, McGee.

Interesting that you list Garrett #1.  He is my first thought as well.  I am interested in Cash as well.  McGee and Sandland at TE.  Obviously, the three CBs--the information I would want is: Which CB looked the best?

Thanks for asking.

Im guessing Dline wont be showing much.. I wana see these young guys in action.

plus if theres 7 on 7 or some kind of competition with the WRs n DBs we can see Garrett as well

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
