Is Atlanta a must win?

It's not a must win.  It will be week 4 on the road and the NFC South is bad.  Even at 1-3 the Panthers would still have a good chance to win the South.  I don't think we have to worry about it though.  Atlanta doesn't have the players on defense to disrupt the Panthers offense like Denver and Minnesota.

It's not a must win but I'll officially be worried about our team if we lose it.

Yes, it's a must-win. This team has no discipline nor does it have brains (the coaching staff remains incapable of adjusting). If we lose to Atlanta, then I'll bet on my soul that we go 5-11 or 6-10. Forget 7-9. We have all the athleticism and size and physicality in the world but what good is it if our coaches can't harness its true potential.

If we lose to Atlanta, unpack your bags because our boys will be staying home after December. Hell, that might as well be the case now since we let Bradford and that horrendous Vikings OL beat us at home.

If we were 0-3 it still wouldn't be a must win. Most people are just way too reactionary to September games. We haven't played a single divisional game yet.

I really don't care for the "must-win" term and the way it's thrown around.  It's become the ASAP of the sports world.

To me "must-win" means that if we lose we're not capable of making it to the post season and thus we "must win".  So no - this game is not a must-win game.

This game is important for us to win without a doubt.  It would be great for the team morale and it would keep us on pace with the rest of our division.  It would be equally bad for morale to drop to 1-3 but still we would not be eliminated from anything.

    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
