Dolphins waive Bené Benwikere

Bene looked very promising as a rookie, but never really got any better. I think he was just one of those guys who had a relatively low ceiling and he was about as good as he was ever going to get coming out of college.

With that said, that was a gnarly leg break and it may be his undoing as an NFL player. Some guys simply don't have the margin of error to lose much and Bene was one of those guys.

He got cut for a reason.

Once again, Gettleman knows what he's doing.

That is why he spent 2 draft picks on him and he has been on the team for less than 3 seasons.

Seems like Gettleman did not know what he is doing and had to toss it in the trash.

Are you going to trust a contractor who overpaid for a crew that failed to set the foundation on your house properly because they turned out to be inexperienced when you were told they were the best? So, now you have to trust he does not continue screwing up and throwing your money away on overpriced labor.

That is what you get from Gettleman. And he will not even apologize to the fans for wasting their time.

We also drafted Greg Hardy. Great logic there.

Don't act like a dumbass. It came straight from the coaches mouth. He wasn't following protocol so his ass got shipped. Fall in line or GTFO.

You... you've used up all your Huddle stupidity for the season. Don't post anymore. Nobody takes your bashing and "analysis" seriously. At this point, you're as formidable as the world's biggest ant. You're asinine rhetoric might get exposure but you're still just an ant.

Don't mean to interject, but Gettleman knowingly drafted someone who apparently has "conditioning" issues. Is he really so infallible to making mistake to you? And CP might not always get my approval for his opinion (for what it's worth) but I've never seen him stoop so low as to using ad hominem to debate with literally anyone. You should take note.

Yep, the FO totally knew he'd break his leg, fail to recover from, and slip into unserviceable territory after a promising rookie season and an average second season at nickel, which was not the position he excelled at his rookie year.

Brilliant.

    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
    • No We have been making excuses for him for 3 years, and we have gave him a hundred chances  Bryce is a bust, and we need to cut him now and stop wasting everyone's time
