Olsen doesn't pass the buck..

Cam will say I can't make throws like that or take sacks like that or I need to trust the OL. Greg says the game came down to him not catching that ball. Meanwhile, Ron says players had missed opportunities. That drop was so rare for Greg, I don't even feel right blaming him. It wasn't on him, this was pure 4th quarter coaching.

It was not an easy catch, but it is one that he normally comes down with.  Personally, I would have liked to have seen us throw something underneath on at least one pass, to get it a little closer.  But Cam had trouble throwing the short stuff all day, or I receivers screwed it up, so I guess I can understand why they didn't try it.

They went underneath the entire second half and Cam picked them apart. This passing game is either feast of famine. There is very little situational passing. I think a lot of the complaint about the Oline is that Shula puts so much pressure on the Oline to hold for those late breaking routes.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
