yeah figured they would. been a sour relationship for past couple of years.  I wanted him about 2-3 years ago when mention of him leaving Chicago. I think he is still a good receiver but we don't need another big bodied with average speed.  He will still be productive where ever he goes. but we don't nee him.  Use money on Secondary OL and DL.

This will be a horrible free agent signing for someone.

Doesn't offer anything to the table that we don't already have, had a worse drop rate than Kelvin last year( granted KB's DRASTICALLY improved), is always injured, and is a failed drug/ped test away from missing 10 games.

Eh I think there are too many other positions of need to go pay a lot of money for a guy that has a similar skill set to two WR's already on the roster. Regardless of whether or not he's more talented.

I'd rather spend money on a LT free agent personally. If we sign a FA receiver, I think the money would be better suited for someone that can work in the slot.

the only type of receiver we should be looking for is a legit slot receiver

On what other NFL teams would Ted Ginn start at WR?

And he may not be back. Are we really ready to pencil in Devin Funchess as a starter? Oh wee mayne.

Agree that we need a legit slot guy, but we need a legit starter too. I've been saying for awhile now that I'd like to add a decent vet AND draft a guy.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
