and if Leonard is still on the board? I just have a HUGE issue not going offense in top 10 if the playmakers are there

Don't you know that all the players will be taken by our pick? ;)

If Allen improved our pass rush, and helped to put an attitude in our defense, I'm cool with that.

This is still a very deep draft for RBs, WRs and TEs.

I wouldn't.

You do realize Allen is really good right? 2nd best player behind Garrett imho from the draft.

Another DT in the first? Sure why not. Gettleman hell just triple dip on Safteys and DLine and draft an RB in round 7 wouldn't suprise me in the fuging slightest

If he were a DT, this post might make sense. He's a DE that can push inside on passing downs. Something we absolutely need.

If he does, it will be the quickest selection in Gettleman history.

Naw, I think he'll take the full ten minutes and savor each sweet second knowing that he's going to get Allen at number eight.

Anyone who thinks that Fournette and a second round DE would help this team more than Allen and a second round RB needs to go watch the LSU/Alabama games again and see which player shined.

Will be interesting to see what rankings indicate post Combine.  Most team boards will change a little, but all the draft sites will change a lot as will Huddle opinions.

Allen as the measurables to be a 34 DE.  Not sure how quick he is for the outside pass rush in the 43 however.  We will see.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
