Probably the biggest difference between Hurney and Gettleman is that Hurney might have done well in the first round but he was horrible when he came to rounding out the rest of the roster and getting quality depth.

It's sad how poor this organization drafts considering they believe in the whole "build from within" method.

Don't quote me and give me the Hurney v DG junk either. They both f'n suck and if you're standard for success is just to better than Hurney than you don't know what success looks like.

2009 was a shitty draft overall. 5 of the top 10 were all bust

We would have picked 28th if not for the Otah trade. I don't think theres more than 15 starting caliber players in the whole league from the draft.

Steal of the draft was Lesean Mccoy at 53.

Terrell McClain, Sione Fua, Brandon Hogan, Kealoha Pilares, Lawrence Wilson, Zachary Williams, Lee Ziemba

Considering 2011 is one of the best drafts of all-time, that is embarrassing.  Although I do think Hogan could have been a good corner if not for injuries, I really liked him as a prospect.

Yep, before this takes a turn for  Hurney vs Gettleman thing, lets just all remember no GM has ever netted us more than 2 good long term starters in any draft, with the exception of 07 when we landed CJ,Beason and Kalil.

This is why I am in favor of packing all 4th round and later picks to move up.
