There was alot of huddlers last offseason predicting us to go on a revenge tour and murder all our opponents and then the season actually played out nothing like that. There's some merit to this comment, although I'm at least hopeful and appreciative of the fact that the organization made some serious effort to attempt to correct team weaknesses (ex. OT in FA, OT in the draft, getting rid of Remmers, getting rid of Ealy, bringing in peppers and Munnerlyn, more WR competition in FA, and maybe most importantly going offense with our first two picks of the draft).

It's pretty easy to not get excited right now. Our tackles are Kalil and Oher. We are banking our offense on a guy at LT that has been one of the worst in the NFL and Oher if he's back or Williams if he's not. If these guys aren't good then it wouldn't matter if we had Megatron, Moss, and Irvin for our WRs and Barry Sanders in the backfield. If Cam has less than 2 seconds to do anything before he's crushed it's just not going to matter.

Its not like he was on the market for long. Idk which day but it was that opening FA we signed him. He was a priority of ours. 

 

Saying he wasnt wanted by anyone else is just assumtive stupidity

This is our offense heading into the 2016-2017 season, I'm tired of fellow Huddlers acting as though we are not fully loaded heading into this upcoming season, and any educated huddler knows a lot weighs on the offensive line, but on paper this is the best offensive line we've had in years. If the injury bug moves on after derailing our most recent season I think we have an opportunity to put together another special year!

This also goes without saying that we have the potential to field a top 5-10 defense with the additions, and maturation of the last rookie class!

      No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.

      It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
