One of the knocks against him was his hands; i.e. he didn't use them like he should and relied on catching with his body.  Hopefully this is a good indication otherwise.

I looked at his hands stuff pretty closely in the lead up to the draft as I thought he was a huge potential weapon for the Panthers, and it's not like he has bad hands. that's really far from the truth.

the reality is that he just needs some refinement on his ball skills and securing the ball at first contact. aka, exactly the kind of stuff you might expect to see from someone who isn't all that experienced as an actual WR. I'm not worried about his ability to catch the ball, but he will need to time his jumps better, adjust to balls thrown away from his body, find ways to land after jump-catches in a way that helps him get YAC, and not juggle the ball (especially in times where he might get hit right after catching). a good training camp and consistent work as a WR should take care of the vast majority of that.

From today! Being consistent with keeping his eyes on the ball...this kid excites the hell out of me.
