Byrd about to be everything this man wasn't.

Let's not get carried away. Byrd has one regular season catch, so far. Personally, I'm looking for Samuel to be the upgrade over Ginn. He just needs to get his butt back on the field before it's too late for him to get up to speed this year.

He had a decent preseason last year as well. I've been singing his praises for a while and I hope he not only steals a roster spot but contributes weekly. He does posses Ginn speed and all he has to do is catch more than 50% of deep balls thrown at him.

that whole night was insane...rain, the rowdiest crowd I ever saw at a game...and gano was actually clutch

I thought he missed a FG too either in OT or end of the fourth, and then made up for it with the final OT tie and OT winner? Maybe I'm wrong. But yeah that was one of the most insane games I've ever seen. Looking back, that whole year was just freaking nuts in so many games.

We played our first preseason game and 5 topics on the first half of the page are about former players :)

Drama sells. It's why the Kardashians have a billion dollar empire off their father defending a murderer and the middle sister fuging a C list celebrity before sex tapes were a thing.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
