Strong Safety prospect no one is mentioning...

As the Carolina Panthers are so thin currently at safety, I was wondering what everyone thought of Dezmen Southward

 

This play caught my eye... really sheds the block nicely and makes the play. Kept the Texans from getting a first down on 3rd and 1. Led to the Damiere Byrd TD.

I was decent'y impressed with him, he seems a little thin, but his measurables are nice and he likely has the best range of any of our safeties at this time.

Jokes aside, I had to look him up... Good size and speed (4.38/ 40) If he's not afraid to hit... could be that he makes special teams. Seems like one of our goals this year is just to get faster in every aspect of the game. Will be paying attention.

He certainly played with some heart on this particularly play.
