Cam's done that his entire career, so... It's going to be interesting to see if he can actually transition to more quick hitting short throws. We've seen him occasionally hit Benji over the middle with fast throws before.

He never plays well in the preseason and he'll surely be rusty, I'm not expecting much

Jax D is going to sit on the short routes, just like our D did in the first TC practice. And, I doubt we throw much deep, so I would not expect the O to look great with Cam in the game. For the regular season, the regulator comes off.

Do you think he will still be on a pitch count, Jeremy?  Like, he won't stay in with all of the other starters through the 3rd?  I really hope they give him extended time and don't limit him too much.

He's not playing nearly that long I don't think. He might play a series or 2, but that's it.

My prediction:

 

Throws a screen to Run CMC that he takes to the house. They both call it a night.

All I want to see is him attempt a pass to CMC, a deep pass, and I'd like to see him lead a scoring drive. The last one might be a lofty goal at this point, but I think even with the time off, he'll be able to step right in a game situation and look decent.

I predict Cam will look like he always does in the preseason.  Kinda bad. He will be practicing being a one dimensional pocket passer with vanilla calls.   He has never looked good doing that.....and now he will be rusty going into it.  So I don't expect the first strong O to move the ball that well and it won't be a big deal.

Having been a Carolina Panther fan since 1995....

I'm expecting Cam to be excited and inaccurate. He's not 100% and I dont think he'll be as aggressive as normal. 

I expect we'll overreact.... but he'll proceed to have a rebound year.
