I was hoping it would be JPep pounding the drum since it will be his first home game back, but I'll take two national champions doing it just as well.

Really cool to let hometown champs pound the drum for the hometown team.  One of the USC chicks is a huge Panther fan.  Gonna be awesome to see a homegrown fan pound the drum.

I like it, but it will be kind of weird having to hand the baton or whatever off 3 times in between? or they will all have them? regardless I wont see it cause Fox, but good for the college athlete's. Here's to hoping we can repeat their success this season!

Peppers & Munnerlyn would have been a better choice for the home opener. The UNC/So.Carolina combo would be fine for any other game, but the first, like mjilgon said.... we should have more firepower. 

Edit:  Wait a minute.... UNC ... South Carolina... Hmmmm, maybe there's more to this choice than meets the eye. #Overthinking

Lol y'all can't be serious with this...a day later and this is still just as lackluster.

Peppers was the logical only choice for the first home game...needed to set the tone for the excitement this year brings.

 These 4 could have done literally any other game. 

ps I'm a Gamecock so I'm even a little biased and this is still
