Charlie Casserly: "It's absurd that Greg Olsen will be in the booth"

If you seriously think GO will have some competitive advantage by watching the game from the booth versus the tons of angles and all-22 footage teams use to scout their opponents then you are a moron.

And knowing that GO is gonna be the booth with the other analysts I highly doubt the Vikes are gonna be all that forthcoming with their gameplan in production meetings and interviews etc. More fake outrage.

All these responses make it seem that Greg is strong-arming Fox to let him work this particular game.  He's just showing up to commentate a game.  He doesn't dictate the assignments, jackasses.

You talking about the media response? I don't think anyone on here is implying what you just said

Unless his coworkers spill some beans, I fail to see how he can pick up anything he couldn't see on the tape he will see anyway. That PFF dude complaining about him being at the game is silly. What prevents him, or anyone else with a deep pocket, from attending the game with a great seat? If I was RR, and had the bucks and personnel, assuming no rules against it, I'd have a scout team at every upcoming opponent's games.

lol.  Olsen is going to watch the tape 20 times on this game regardless if he is in the booth....which gives him greater knowledge than talking in a booth about the game.

fake outrage.   Sports people simply need stuff to talk about

This. i thought the same thing the other day. Greg is not going to have time to dissect plays like he would preparing for a game. he's calling it as an announcer. there's very little replay compared to the film room.
