Curtis Samuel earned his Panther card

On the day he learned he was lost for the season, Samuel signed autographs and passed out Thanksgiving turkeys at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club in Sedgefield.

Samuel, using crutches with his leg heavily wrapped, said he didn’t want to cancel his appearance.

“I’m in a little bit of pain, but that wasn’t going to stop me because I understand how important this moment is for these kids,” he said. “They look forward to this and I also was looking forward to this. So I wasn’t going to let an injury stop me from giving back.”

Samuel signed promotional fliers for the event, and also autographed several cell phones.

In return, he received a get-well card from a young girl and let several kids sign his Panthers cap.

After getting a turkey and an autograph, one girl started dancing with excitement.

“I wish I could dance with you,” Samuel said, smiling.

Well done Curtis.

Ive said this before, but I love how much this franchise gives back to the community.  They are always doing something and most we would never know about.  Good job young man!

Yes.  I was a fan of this team from the beginning because they are local.  But one thing now I really love is the character of this team.  It seems to mean something to be a Panther.....not just about football.  This is  a group of men we can be proud of.  They are making a difference and I was very impressed by Curtis Samuel.  Even as a young player...he gets it.  I hope he is a Panther for life....and a very prolific wide receiver.

I would say I am a “downer” 1% of the time. Huge fan of 10 and love the article. Just feeling a little bit worried about his durability. I think many of us have shared those concerns since the preseason.

Lets hope it’s not a trend. Hoping for the best with him because he has so much talent and potential.

Keep pounding youngster.

I was annoyed when he dropped that TD pass, but he made a grown man catch earlier where he got blasted and held on. Cancels each other out. Hate he’s gone for the season, needs the reps.  Hopefully it heals completely and he comes back to training camp ready to learn. I have very high hopes for this guy (after draft night 1 he was on the short list I posted here for wants in round 2 :) )

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
