Possibility Wentz tore his ACL

The ONLY team I worry about is the Saints tbh. We matchup HORRIBLY against them. We can take the Rams and Vikings. Falcons are not scary. Eagles are significantly worse with Foles at QB. and Seahawks are just too damn injured and their o-line is still complete trash.

With that said, with Rodgers possibly coming back next week, we have got to take care of business against them first or else we might not make the playoffs with the Falcons still left to go the last week.

That would be a really bad move on their part.  Keenum has played great this year.  For that matter, he played well today.  We were getting almost continuous pressure on him and his movement the pocket and running the ball allowed him to extend plays.  He made some great throws, but his receivers dropped a few critical passes.  And only one int was his fault.

We made his game one dimensional by stuffing their run game which made defending against them easier. That hadn't happened often this season. Bridgewater will have bigger problems without a good, functioning run game. I don't see them changing QB's either.

Unfortunate but there was a 50-50 chance they weren't getting the NFC championship game anyway, their defense got exposed the last couple weeks against stronger teams.

They also had he easiest schedule ever, besides maybe the Steelers. But, yeah, never want anyone to get injured

The Saints quick play offense has always given us fits - even moreso this year with the corners playing 10 yards off every down. That being said, there is no excuse for the offense looking as terrible as they have against the Saints in both games.

I would want to avoid the Vikings more I think. I think their receivers had more drops today than they had the rest of the season combined, which tells me today was a fluke (it was almost like the Panthers receivers put on Vikings jerseys...). Their receivers are tough matchups and their defense won't be as bad as they were today in the playoffs.

It's a reminder that you can have a great season that has Super Bowl written all over it and one injury could derail it entirely. It's not a fatal blow like how the Raiders lost Carr last season but the NFC just got a little easier for everyone.

I’m not convinced of that just yet.

No one needs to make "you don't wish that type of injury.." posts. We know no one wants a fellow human being to go through that pain and worry.

Just another version of, "My thoughts and prayers are with ... ".

Foles was outstanding a few years ago. I think the Eagles won't miss much of a beat QB wise ... but will in terms of meshing with the starting unit.

I'm going to give all the posters here the benifit of the doubt that they didn't take joy in knowing Wentz tore his acl and is suffering. Unless you post otherwise it is assumed that you are not a sadistic maniac. That way I don't have to scan past "boy I didn't want that to happen to him... I would never secretly wish that on him.. blah blah"... no poo? I say just go right to what you actually want to say. You don't need to protect yourself from us thinking your an evil psycho. No one thinks that. Thoughts and prayers would be better I think.

I think they're dead meat in the playoffs, but I wouldn't put money on it either way. Anything can happen.

    • That was always the fear, expectation, concern, etc, I had.  Someone showed a still shot from his pick last game and said it showed that the defender closed 3 yards on that ball in the last portion of its flight. I forget the number. 10 yards I think it said but that sounds extreme.  When guys are open by a step, any slowing down to wait for the ball lets the defender back into the play. That sort of stuff makes the margins so small… these NFL CBs are not slow.   It is a league that highly values foot speed; the 40 times and drill times are scrutinized down to the hundredth of a second when evaluating these players on both sides of the passing game. Receivers and defenders both.   My thing with his arm strength (or anyone’s) was always “why do you want to do that? Plus pay extra picks to put yourself in that situation?”. Asking for trouble.     I wish there was a way to measure velocity on the back half of a throw compared to when it left the hand. Or really get accurate reading of the flight time of a ball from the near hash to the sideline, 10 yards down the field. Because teams could use that info. I have always seen this as being a disadvantage with Bryce but it is beyond my ability to quantify it.   I think it would show what that arm strength is really about, a lot more than just measuring how much air can you put under it so it will fly as far as possible.
    • Who didn't see that coming....
    • Its a detriment if he can't play...as we are seeing.
