If Miami doesn't keep Landry..

WOW!!

I actually don't know if Landry is a good fit for our offense. He would likely take the role I see Samuel playing next year.

What we really need is a Ted Ginn Jr. type character. A guy that can flat out burn down the field.

Funchess + Burner + Samuel + Olsen + young TE for Olsen to groom is my realistic dream.

But don't get me wrong I love Jarvis Landry. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on the Patriots

I don't mind over paying but just back load it. The Panthers for too many years have not dropped enough coin on WR and CB.

Hurney backloading horrible contracts is what lead to 2010...And no getting a #1 pick where we likely will not get another Cam is not worth it at all. Took 3 years to dig ourselves out of Hurney's hole, and that was largely due to having an amazing GM in DG.

I think Samuel is the burner though. But he might be injury prone which is the problem.

I like Landry in the offense but not at the expense of taking another players opportunity. He could pair pretty well with our guys but it just depends what he expects his role to be. Funchess is a #1 and he will continue to blossom.

All we really needed to do was resign Ted Ginn. His absence has caused a lot of problems.

No Hurney giving out huge guarantees was what caused that. I have no problem with a performance based contract back loaded.

Also on that note he was instructed to do those horrible deals. Before that he actually was not terrible with the cap.

Yes Samuel is the 4.3 speed guy and so is Byrd..

No

Dude wants to get paid $$$

He's let Miami know that, its been all the the loacl miami media down here this offseason.

We still need to lock Norwell and Star along need to work on extending Olsen.

Give me Donte Moncrief who would be a good player here and much cheaper

Funchess, Moncrief,  Samuel, and a mid round draft (ive got us grabbing Dante Pettis in the 3rd in my mock) will have Cam some talent to throw to

Funchess to me is more like a Moose,.. we need a Steve Smith. Samuel could be that guy but when does he come back and how long before he gets hurt again?

Byrd has impressed me, just want to see them send him downfield 4-5 times a game ala Ginn.

or we need to draft another guy named Steve Smith haha.

Cam doesn't need anymore rookies.. He needs a experienced vet to go with the young undeveloped group we have now..

Next year, Fuchess will be a 4th year vet. Huge possibility that he comes off a 1000 yard season this year. Samuel has showed signs in the limited times he got.

As of right now, Ridley, Kirk and Sutton look to all be legitimate receiever as a team no2 or 3 receiver next season. Theyre no scrubs. I expect all three to contribute as rookies.

Landry will cost way too much. I think hes a better all around WR than Jeffery. Landry will garner close to 12-13 million a year like Jeffery, if not more.

To those obsessed with a guy that can "stretch the field".... Landry is a guy that opens up the speedster leaving him one-on-one rather than letting a safety remain over top by demanding help underneath and if the ball is placed to where he can run after the catch, he is a 2nd tier receiver. We probably can't afford him which is unfortunate, because he would thrive here.

I doubt we'd be able to get him at a value. He's a damned good slot receiver,  maybe even the best in the game, definitely top five, though Saca has tried to sell him short time and time again.  Remember when he told me that Jamison Crowder was superior to Landry? Well that hasn't quite been the case.

I would be all for Landry if we could get him at a value (but I would be reluctant to pay him any more than around 8 mil per year), and if we planned to move Samuel to the outside.

Teams force feed good receivers the ball (if they have them) so I find that argument of no consequence.

My thing is that we need as many playmakers as we can get.  I do want us to draft a highly dynamic receiver with prototypical size and speed.  Guys like Ginn,  Richardson, Goodwin and perhaps even Wallace are largely one dimensional,  and not as dynamic as I envisioned they could be when they came into the league (not to mention Richardson's injury woes).  Moreover,  if you want speed,  we have Byrd (and will have Samuel), and I don't think Clay is slow.  It's just that we need to use them on some deep routes.

I would take Wallace,  and wish we would have explored Torrey Smith, but I want someone who is able to do it all with absolute legitimacy.

I like landry but i think we should set our sights much higher than him. We need a all around skill set type WR with potential to be the best in the league. He needs to check off all the boxes for a WR

Good luck with that. We wont be getting anyone then if those are the conditions.
