Adams calls TD “Head Hunter”

I wouldn't call TD a head hunter, but that was unnecessary. TD plays the game hard and fast... Old school, but with how the league is trying to approach player safety, he just can't play it how it should be played anymore. Hope Adams is ok, but the part I laughed at was the look on Luke's face on the replay.. was kinda like "oh... He's fuged" haha

TD has always played this way. He's gotten lucky that no one has been seriously hurt, besides that Green Bay Packer rookie whose career he ended years ago. He's a good dude and he does a lot for charity, but that doesn't change the fact that he plays balls out and hits like a freight train. He's lead with his head before. I would imagine it's instinctual from years of playing that way before many of the rule changes. If someone hits one of our guys like that, I want them ejected. I can't feel too upset at the Packers calling for the same thing. I doubt they'll get any satisfaction other than an incoming fine though.

For what it's worth, it seemed like after that hit, several of their DBs made it a point to tackle our receivers and drive their shoulders into the ground. Two shoulder stingers in one series is suspicious.

it was a bad hit. with TD's rep and his reaction afterwards i would argue a dirty hit doesn't necessarily mean a dirty player. he didn't stand over him or some poo.

the packers are whining because now they're probably going to miss the playoffs. someone pissed in their cheerios and TD is the easiest target for their tears of anger.

oh well

Adams has every right to be upset. It was a real POS move by Davis

People are going to poo you, but you are right.

Can't talk poo about Odell Beckham for clocking Josh Norman in 2015, and not call out TD for this hit.

No excuse for it.

I love TD, my top 3 panthers of all time, but this was shitty.  Hopefully, he is remorseful.

If someone took a shot like this at Cam, we would want the guy kicked out of the league.

IMO opinion it's not looking good for Davis, as 1) the block was an illegal crack-back block, 2) it was clearly helmet to helmet contact, 3) he injured the other player who no longer could play the game, and 4) Davis is already fined this year for an illegal blow to the helmet.  Like it or not, I think Davis is going to be suspended, regardless of what his intent was or how sorry he felt afterward.

Which brings up another question -- if Davis has to sit, is Shaq ready to go?

It's really hard to argue with this.

At the end of the day, I think it's important to be consistent on these player safety issues. People get caught up in the selfish fan aspect of it, but at the end of the day all these guys out there playing are human beings. TD knew it was wrong. I can't say if it was headhunting, I don't think Davis would intentionally set out to take a player out of the game, but then again I don't know him personally. Either way, in the end, this is a bad look, and he knows it.

    • Why don't we just say they can shove the late round draft picks up their ass? If they want a player they will be starting at WR in Week 1, I want a MLB in return that we can start Week 1. Starter for a Starter Not Starter for a draft pick we'll be debating whether or not they should make the final 53 man roster in 2026.
    • Why?   No. This isn't a situation of a player we want to trade because we have no use for them.  He's our starting slot WR, our leader of the young WR room, Bryce's safety option the last 2 years who he has good chemistry with. If the Vikings didn't run into WR trouble, we'd never have been even considering trading him, so why in the world should we give him up for fair market value in a vacuum for Thielen and disregard what losing him off our roster will do for us this year? A 5th round pick in 2026 is a negligible draft pick, especially with this season being so make or break for Bryce and Canales.
    • The Vikings acquiring all these late round picks has me feeling like we're about to see another CMC situation play out here. Trade a player we really like for the equivalent of what we want for them on the draft pick chart, but because of a bunch of late round picks instead of the one pick value we actually want. Which will do the same thing in the end, nothing, because 6th and 7th round picks rarely work out to begin with, or we're just going to use them to move up 10 picks in the 3rd or 4th round to take another DJ Johnson
