Does Jonathan Martin have a mental illness and needs serious psychological help?  Yes, of course.

Does it somehow exonerate Richie Incognito or make him less of a dirt-bag for bullying him and hurting his mental state even more?  No it doesn't.

I just hate when everyone tries to take extreme position and don't acknowledge that one doesn't negate the other.

Bingo.

There are genuine a--holes, and there are guys who just play a--holes on the field. Incognito is a genuine, bonded, certified and verified a--hole. And not just to his teammates. There was a complaint from a woman about him dry humping her on a golf course as well.

I'm hoping nobody goes and asks this dumbass for his opinion on the story. But knowing how sports talk is, you gotta believe that's going to happen.

If Incognito says something asinine, as he's prone to do, something like saying this proves he was right or calling him names or some such, I'm hoping the Bills just dump the POS outright.

I swear. When did the go to solution for getting back at people who have wronged you become shooting them and whoever else who just happens to around? Ridiculous.

This. I can understand someone getting mad at someone and killing them. It might not be the acceptable response or legal response, but at least a decently sane person can look at the situation and see the motive. But just randomly killing people? That just doesn't make any damn sense what so ever. You have to have all your damn screws loose to do some poo like that.

I'm sorry I forgot the N .. Did that make you feel better about being the dumbass to compare being gay to incest??  Or the fact you tried to life story ppl after being hurt with a high school comeback.

Hey remember that time your witty comeback for like several posts was to make fun of a auto correct typo of mine

Just checking in to call out your hypocrisy.

Someone had done a study a while back indicating that suicides, murders, violence etc had gone up quite a bit among teenagers since smartphones became widely available.

That didn't really make a lot of sense to me until someone pointed out that a smartphone allows you to take Facebook, Twitter, the internet and whatever else you're on with you wherever you go.

Used to be that even if you were getting viciously bullied, once you went home you were safe. Your tormentors couldn't touch you until the next day, or for a few days on the weekend. Not anymore. People who want to victimize somebody for whatever reason can now do it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without them being able to get away.

I can't honestly say that by itself would be explanation enough, but I gotta believe it's a factor..

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

Not any more eh, now it’s run around and shoot people in the knee-caps with a double barrel shotgun cause you pissed at em.

You'd think people would be scared to be bullies these days given all the stuff that happens.

Then again, I never really gave most bullies much credit for being especially bright.

i mean there was a time when disputes were actually settled with gunfights in this country.  i think i've even heard a certain subset of americans refer to that era as a time when the country was "great".

A "gun fight" is one thing. Randomly shooting unarmed people who you may not even know is another thing entirely.
