Don't be a bunch of sour grapes.  Star was a vital piece of our DL.  He gave us 5 good years and I think he was a key acquisition for this team.

Of the names in this draft he probably has one of the better stat lines.

He might not get top dollar but he'll get paid.

BTW I was so happy Tavon Austin went well before we picked.  I thought he was bust and for the most part he has been.

Man, what a rough first half of the draft.  Star was a great pick for us.  But man, looking at so many of those guys who are out of the league or almost...

Sheesh.  Just goes to show you how even the best laid plans can fall completely apart.

I love the ex-girlfriend perspective we always adopt when we let someone walk. Wait til he actually signs somewhere and you'll start hearing about how he was dead weight, a liability that could never live up to his potential etc etc.

Drafting Star (and then double dipping with KK) took us from the absolute worst DT combo in the league to one of the best. It's a shame we can't keep him on and look to improve elsewhere but that is how the NFL works. Good on him for whatever contract he can land. He'll be missed but luckily we think we've got some young talent ready to step up and maybe we can add a value vet to the rotation. It should workout well for everyone involved. no need for sour grapes by anyone.
