Sammy Watkins Is Part Of A Cult

Found this on reddit before it was deleted. Really interesting stuff.

On second thought, would you have put a pause on signing him knowing he's part of something that's known to cause football players to quit their careers to follow such religion?

Here's the original link but to a ceddit.

While looking through the Zay Jones incident I noticed a mention of something Sammy Watkins tweeted about the incident but then deleted shortly after. He mentions that he follows in a “Lord Ahmen” and no longer believes in Jesus leading me to realize that he’s not saying some version of “amen” but that Lord Ahmen is a different person. A quick look at his Twitter reveals more of the same.

So I did some quick google searching which led me to this site.

And oh boy is it bat poo crazy. I’ll let you check that out for yourself but there are definitely shades of the stuff that Adam Muema got into that led him to quit football to follow his beliefs. Now, I’m not saying that Sammy is going to quit football or even do anything crazy, but it seems alarming at least that he’s put his faith in an ideology that has replaced religion for him and that has very interesting views on race and the afterlife.

Let me know what you guys think.

After reading Watkin's tweet, I'm not sure I believe in proper grammar anymore... Maybe "the Lord" can help him with that...

Godalmighty, how in the F did this guy make it 3 years at Clemson?  "Student" athlete.  I'll never understand how people are not completely embarrassed by how they speak/write and don't strive to be better.

But, let's be honest. At the end of the day, the only difference between a religion and a cult is the popularity. What if I told you there was a group of people out there who believed an ancient guy was the savior of all humanity and that he rose from the dead and to this day his followers participate in ritualistic pretend cannibalism as a core part of their worship. fuging nuts, right? It would be if it was a small sect, but seems totally normal if there are over two billion global followers.

*I just want to make a quick edit to say that I'm not trying to knock Christianity here, just trying to provide some perspective.
