One year on: Rating Christian McCaffrey

Recommended Posts

9/10 as a receiver

5/0 as a runner

But considering that Cam was our only effective runner last year I'm not aure how much of CMC's struggles as a runner can be put on him. None of the other RBs did anything either. He also showed definite improvement as a runner later in the season.

He gets a 7 out of 10. He started off slow but definitely improved as the season progressed.

I would like to see him get about 15 carries a game instead of 7. Then you might see 1500 all purpose yarda

He was a 9.5/10 with his role as the 3rd down back. His recieving and coverting ability is insane. He is such a weapon to dump it to on a 3rd down. Watch his highlight tape.. almost ever play is a 1st down

due to his limited role with Stewart hogging snaps (unable to get in a grove or rythm which is important for a RB), and an OC that was a peanut brain, he didnt have a chance to shine as a workhorse RB

if he gets that opportunity this year to take most of the snaps and he can get to be THE guy, he will be a premiere back and one of the best in the league.

He just needs the opportunity.

7.5/10 last year

9.5/10 this year. I'm expecting a YUGE year from CMC. I think Norv is the perfect OC to maximize his ability, and u think he will begin to light teams up next year. I expect to see a lot more plays like his long TD against the Saints in the playoffs.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
