Gaulden might just be one of those guys that tests badly on SPARQ and at the combine, but just has a great feel for the game and is a better player in pads than in spandex as Gettleman would say.

This is very true he is very instinctive and he plays faster than his time speed. If you watch some of Tennessee games he makes plays all over the field.

Physical assessments don't measure aptitude. Luke isn't the most athletic guy (probably in the Top 25% for his position), but he can make all the plays you can want because of his aptitude.

Whaaaaat.  Luke Kuechly is extremely athletic and probably closer to the top 5%. His measurable are similar to Ray Lewis.

Gaulden strikes me as being somewhat cerebral. I think this slows the game down for guys and and they can react better to the dynamics.  He probably processes multiple scenarios in his head during film sessions and can react to them as they occur.

That said I suspect he had mapped out flipping off that Alabama fan the Tuesday before the game.

Bruh...

He was a top performer in nearly every single category.

Luke is a physical freak in addition to being one of the smartest to play the  position.

He's just white.
