McCaffrey will disappoint this year

I think 600 yards from Moore is a damn good season.

I expect he’ll be around this range.

He’s gonna be our short-intermediate playmaker. Basically our more athletic Jarvis Landry as a rookie.

I am sure he will disappoint some people this season much like he did last season. As others have said, that is a pretty subjective statement.

I am curious to see how he works out now that we have CJ. I am more curious to see if our playcalling and OL play improve dramatically from last year.  If one or both of those don't improve pretty dramatically, we may not be disappointed in the right people if we are blaming CMC(or CJ).

McCaffrey will disappoint in so much that the offense does. If Norv has full control over the offense and how it operates in the games, we'll be fine and so will CMC.

If Rivera wants to try and "milk the clock" with a 3 point lead in the 2nd quarter, we're all screwed.

CMC will do OK I think. I think we'll see him better between the tackles provided we have better blocking. Look at a lot of the unanimous "best RBs in the league", most of their best runs have WIDE open holes with nobody near them because they're being blocked or ran off by good play design. This is what CMC needs. He needs a clear 4-5 yards so that he can make a LB or safety miss and be gone. Or to get on the edge and have the same concept of making that force player miss. He's not a guy you run 20 times up the middle, that's Anderson's role.

If anything CMC should do better with Anderson there and hopefully a true FB role being used. Not to mention Olsen and the new receivers. Also not to mention an OC who has shown he knows how to utilize these types of backs.

An article saying he will struggle because he supposedly isn't a up the gut runner is literally ignoring most of the factors that matter.

Taking Rivera's word about what we should or will do on offense is probably a mistake.

Exactly. All Rivera ever does is say that the guys on the team can do whatever is required of them. Doesn't, necessarily, have anything to do with what will actually take place.

Nobody is going to complain as long as there is production. Early on last year he was too indecisive and quick to dance in the backfield. Unfortunately he finished the season on a very low note with crucial backbreaking drops on the road in the playoffs against our arch rival.

Picking up CJ Anderson was a smart move, but CMC has to elevate his game substantially this year regardless. We are entering the stage of Cam Newton's career where we won't always be able to rely on his rushing heroics to save the day. Top 10 picks should anchor the offense. Yeah it isn't totally fair for CMC to have that kind of weight on his shoulders, but that's the reality in the NFL.

You mean the playoff game we wouldn’t of even had to play if Cam didn’t poo the bed in Atlanta when all of his teammates were playing on point? Great heroics.

Everyone had mistakes last year.

CMC is a rookie...and Shula is an idiot. CMC should not be running between the tackles more often than not if he’s being used correctly, and I highly doubt Norv expects him to.

Ultimately, I think Moore will disappoint the most fans. Not because I don't think he'll be good, but because after showing out in camp and having some highlight reels in preseason, the expectstions will be off the charts and an 800 yard season will disappoint many who'll all of a sudden be expecting 1200 since KB had 1000.

I disagree, Moore want be the only target so that will hurt him but this kid in space is a monster. If he can put up the numbers he did in college with Joe blow QB he should put up good numbers in the NFL. I have to say I am more worried about the Defense this year than the offense.

1 Player on Every NFL Team Who Will Disappoint in 2018

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2781004-1-player-on-every-nfl-team-who-will-disappoint-in-2018#slide5

The Panthers have a new offensive coordinator in Norv Turner, but per ESPN.com's David Newton, head coach Ron Rivera pointed to McCaffrey's ability to run between the tackles. It's not McCaffrey's primary talent, and it never has been, and an increased portion of the wrong approach won't do anything positive for McCaffrey's future.

Wow, I guess the media is in full click bait mode during the dead season.  They can kiss my ass.  Norv knows what to do with Cmac....he'll have another +1000 yard combined season, and this time he'll break several to the house.

Aahhhh I can't wait.

    • Went to school in MD when this came out. Dance floor got CRAZY when this joint came on!
    • They had best show out in Week 1 there are zero,I mean zero,  excuses for that offense  defense, haven’t play together yet and they still have Mr Soft and Predictable as DC  I expect break downs at times  …but that offense returns all starters except Tremble and both Mayes and Brady are veterans and can play LG and know the system not up for any participation awards this season they can save that practice energy for Jacksonville.     I’m sick of the, winning,  or looking competitive, when it doesn’t matter.
    • There are some tough decisions that I'm eager to see the results of... Does Blackshear sneak on to the roster as RB4? Does the team go with 4 TEs or just 3 again? And has Mitchell Evans done enough to defend his roster spot from James Mitchell? Who is WR6 and is there a WR7? TMac, XL, Coker, and AT seem to be locks imo and I'm assuming Renfrow also makes it due to all of the camp praise. Who makes it between Brycen Tremayne, Jimmy Horn Jr, and David Moore? If the team goes with 7 WRs, which one of those three doesn't make it? Jacolby George and Emani Bailey both have not gotten a lot of game time. Could the Panthers be trying to hide them so that they can be stashed on the PS? Do they go with 10 OL instead of 9? Who makes it out of Walton, Carter, and Kingston? DL locks are DB, BB3, ARob, and Turk. That leaves Jaden Crumedy, Cam Jackson, Sam Roberts, Shy Tuttle, and LaBryan Ray all competing for the final 1 - 3 spots. Does DJ Johnson get IR'd and Thomas Incoom make the roster as EDGE5? What in the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck is going to happen at LB? Only locks seem to be Wallace, Rozeboom, and Cherelus (Wallace has mentioned in media how Cherelus has been big bro for him on the team). Rhattigan had some good moments against Houston, Martin-Scott is an SC guy, Krys Barnes has popped on defense and on special teams, and Windmon got time starting for the team last season. Are two of those guys going to make it or are the Panthers poaching from another team's cuts? CB5... who is it? Do they go with the 4 expected safeties or bring in a 5th? Has Ransom done enough to take the start from Nick Scott?
