Will Donte Jackson be ready for the # 2 corner job?

Unless Hurney pulls off a trade soon, the hopes of finding a better option than Jackson to play the 2nd corner spot are pretty much over. I find it unlikely we will be able to grab someone after the final cuts and immediately plug them in as a starter opposite of Bradberry.  At this point I would assume he's slotted for the job as long as he doesn't have a poo show performance like Seymour just did.

Its not really a stretch to expect a 2nd round pick to perform better than Worley (3rd rounder) or Seymour (6th rounder) who were both in their 2nd years and clearly not ready to be full time starters. The real question is how much better can we reasonably expect him to perform than them in his rookie year? We didn't really get a large enough sample size of him being targeted yesterday to draw many conclusions. Pretty excited to see how he does on Friday night and hoping he really shines.

Once again, if he can shut down the likes of College’s best WR AJ Brown, he’ll do fine in the NFL. So far from all the vids in camp and talk, he’s certainly sticking himself on receivers and racking up a ton of PBUs. Looks far stronger and bigger than his size suggest on the field.

Can I also point out that the entire backfield is hurt and not practicing today. Just Doss, Captain, and Jackson.  So the guy that everyone said is too fragile is on the field while everyone else is nursing wounds.

Im good with him at the #2

Who ever said Jackson is fragile?
